Best thing I have used
I have a short haircut with a wave that naturally occurs. I have been using product in my hair to help keeps itâs hold and wave for over 40yrs, and this product is by far the best I have ever used. It doesnât get hard and crunchy and doesnât create too much sheen. My hair can be re-combed throughout the day without the need to add more product, which is very convenient. This product also washed out easily in the shower, so I donât feel like Iâve got a bunch of grease in my hair. This product is also substantially less expensive than all other options. It works better and is less expensive⦠thatâs some serious value right there. I have been using this for over 10yrs and I will not use anything other than Groom & Clean in my hair.

The best every day hair product.
At first I didn’t care for this product as I thought the hold was too lax but now use it all the time. It won’t give the high gloss, greasy shine of a pomade but it will hold everything in place with a more natural, softer oily appearance. Start with a small dab then increase the amount until you get the look you want. I kinda had to get a feel for the product until I understood how to get my hair looking the way I wanted. It smells unique, like spiced pumpkin. It’s a bit oily feeling but it is water based so it washes out nicely.EDIT: I just wanted to add that my son has long hair and he prefers what I call the “Sons of Anarchy” look. Kind of lightly oiled and finger combed back, tucked behind his ear. Groom and Clean accomplishes this perfectly. Now he’s using it every day too.

The best stuff!
I’ve used Groom & Clean for 20 years and think it’s the absolute best. This hair product combines the best properties of pomades, gels, and tonics (I’ve tried bunches of them) with none of their weaknesses. It’s very versatile as well. Use more (or dilute it with less water) for a strong hold like a pomade; use less (or dilute it with more water) for a lighter hold like a hair tonic. It’s water-soluble, so it washes out easily. And, as it washes out, it takes along grime and dust, leaving your hair clean and well-conditioned without needing shampoo (that’s the “& Clean” of the product name). I see some negative reviews saying G&C has a strong scent, but I’ve never noticed that. There’s just a light kind of barber shop-ish scent that disappears almost immediately. The one “side effect” I have noticed is this: If you have blonde or grey hair, Groom & Clean is going to darken it up a little. Once you get used to that effect, however, you’ll probably prefer it. This is not a product that’ll leave your hair greasy, brittle, or stiff or that’ll stain clothes, hats, or pillowcases. It leaves your hair soft and manageable with a bit of shine. Once you comb your hair into place, it’ll have bounce and life, but it’ll stay in place in most conditions except a really strong wind. Depending upon how much you use, a 4.5 ounce tube will last you anywhere from a few weeks to a few months, so the very affordable price is a great investment. Very highly recommended!

Hard to Find!
Been scanning all the drugstores and pharmacies locally for almost 2 years, rarely finding this light hair gel, worrying my last tube will soon squish out.Previously had a 2 pack delivered to our Wal-Mart in the middle of the Covid Pandemic, one for my lover one for me. Using sparingly. Eyeing all the stylish new offerings in the category, frowning, wondering which might come close, hesitating. “Has Goom & Clean been Discontinued?”Then I had the idea to search online. Yay! A 6-pack of our old faithful. I was delighted. And it arrived well before promised, in maybe 4 days !!. We’re in our late 70’s hoping to look good now ðinto our 90’s. It’s light and effective, cunningly shiny, or wet-look slinky – if that’s your mood – and washes out easy, no fuss, no muss.
