I fondly remember the smell and the “schwing/twang” that happens when you tap the end of the tube. Imagine my thrill when my 19-year old son got an old school a la’ Mad Men hairstyle. Not only does he look handsome and clean cut, I got to introduce him to Groom and Clean. Groom and Clean–does anything else really work as well? It’s a classic for a reason. Controls frizz, looks shiny and sharp, smells good, and that twang! Use a little to get a healthy shine, use a moderate amount to get that well-groomed slick look. And it washes out easily, too, leaving your hair healthier than before. I first bought him Groom and Clean Greaseless Hair Control about a year ago when we were on our way to a wedding and he had gotten a bad haircut and was incredibly frustrated by it. It helped some, but with a double crown and way too short at the cowlick, he had a lot of trouble with that cut. He was somewhat reluctant to use the product (he’s kind of a minimalist) and after that first try, it probably sat in his drawer for a good four months. Then he gave it another try. And he was hooked. Every day he uses it and every day he looks sharp. This deal saved him a considerable amount of money and time. Shipping was quick and packaging great. He’s got a convert in his older brother now, too. If only he could talk the one with waist-length hair into a haircut now….sigh.

Best hair product ever
Pomade is either greasy, expensive, or has way too strong of a hold. Gel is crusty and flakes all over the place. Stuff like brylcreem are greasy and kinda useless. This stuff is the best. It’s got only the good stuff of other hair products but none of the cons. The fact that this stuff isn’t all over the place is honestly a crime against humanity. This is the best hair product ever. It’s the goldilocks of hair products. Not too much hold, not greasy at all, just great. You need to try this stuff if you haven’t already

I’ve used this product for years and like it very much. There is no buildup of it in your hair—when you add water the next day it washes right out. The last time I bought this I got 5 tubes and now I get 4 tubes for the same money thus the 4 stars!!

Right away when i opened up the tube it had a different, more opaque look than prior tubes but still has that same gentle styling and non greasy quality. Just not the same, not sure how much the formula has been altered or why. Slightly different tube as well.
