Easy to use and clean. Need a phone to operate.
Great tool to be 100% sure that your meats are cooked. Connects to phone for alerts using the Govee app and to set the temperature. The device itself only a power on/off button. I have used it many times to cook in my oven: pork shoulder, pork loin, turkey, salmon… It has a handy metal bar on the back to stand it up or use the embedded magnets on the back to attach it to the side of your metal oven or grill. Easy to use and setup. The display is large so it is easy to read. Cleaning is just wiping the needle/probe with a sponge and let dry. Goes right back into its original packaging for storage.

Easy, reliable and great price point
Bought this brand because I already own the Govee permanent outdoor lights and I am familiar with the product. This meat thermometer works great. First time smoking a brisket and it came out great. I used one probe in the thickest part of meat and one to monitor grill temp and never had to worry about it. Simple set let me set grill and meat temperature warning settings. Accuracy and connection was easy and on point.

Easy to use, multiple probes
Pretty good and simple thermometer. My only comments are the obvious things that could have been better:Probes are color-coded at probe end, why not at plug-end?You have to keep the app open and active to see temp history. It would not be that hard to store the history data on the device and update when you reconnect.

This is pretty amazing. My old thermometer broke so I updated to this and it’s fantastic.This would have saved me so many trips to the grill before! The app is accurate and easy to use and read. The 2 leads that came with it are great for multiple products. The leads are long enough, and the Bluetooth was simple to set up with a well rated app.

Mine only came with one probe
I’ve had this for quite a while and have since bought another brand that came with 4 probes hoping to use a couple for this one. Then I could use on inside and one outside. Unfortunately they use a different size jack. Using the other one made me appreciate this one so much more though that I figured I should go back and review this one. The other model I just got has it’s own separate receiver rather than using a phone app. I like the phone app better as it’s easier to read and navigate. I also found the receiver from the other brand to be quite bulky. I have a large yard and one of the things I liked best about the Govee unit was that I could monitor whatever I was cooking while mowing or doing yardwork from anywhere on my property. The other unit didn’t have the range and the receiver was too big to fit in my pocket. Upon testing I found that the most important feature was completely lacking and that was accuracy! I tested the units against each other in my smoker. The other unit read about 10-15 degrees higher than the smoker probe, the Govee unit or an analog thermometer hanging in the smoker which all matched. Obviously the other unit won’t be used again. I thought I was getting a bargain as the other unit was the same price as two replacement probes and I got 4 probes with it. What I got was unusable garbage. I think I’ll just buy another one of these since it now comes with two probes. I might just buy an extra set of probes two though I don’t usually need more than two at a time.

Works great! Accidentally left out and got rained on and the thermometer seems no worse for wear. Bluetooth connectivity is good. Can look at it from anywhere in my house

Govee is everything that is right. I had my issues with the brand, some bad support contact but then 10 great. Govee is like any company, they are here to make money, but the big (huge!) difference is that they listen to the peoples needs. And they make products at excelent quality level at an excelent price. Is not like a “California based company” that wants to sell you a thermometer for 200U$. because the ceo want a new beach house :DIn any case, back to the thermometer itself. I have literally 3 “wireless” meat thermometers. the ones that is just the probe and a charging/hub base. They all died after like 20 or 30 BBQ. And is understandable, having a battery inside a 300~400 Owen? I do between 3 to 4 BBQ a week. I just wanted 3 things: Screen with backlight. a short probe, and (optionally) a way to read the temperature remotely. This Govee thermometer has it all. Its incredible easy to read. You can read the temperature from Govee app as far as you are in BT range (didnt check if I can pair it with my govee BT gateways yet). It has a wire that let you hang it, or has magnet, or has a little leg to put it standing on a side. Again it has it all!And inexistent, unbelievable price. I wasted so much money in thermometers… And you can easily (at least now) get another probe. Those fancy brands does not sell the probe, and they work on a different range so you cannot use a simple generic probe.Anyway, dont waste more money or time, get this thermometer for almost nothing that has all the functions that you ever need. (or the other model that has an amber backlight)

Would can say about this Bluetooth Meat Thermometer
What can I say about this bluetooth meat thermometer? I seemsto of very sturdy construction. It allows up to six probes at once to allow you access to any one item you are cooking. Last it is Bluetooth and YES it does have an app for that called GOVEE Home App. This is probably one of the worst apps ever. Apparently this model for the app has been discontinued, but it’s not on the active or inactive model selections. Once you get it programmed in by the grace of GOD it almost immediately, tempts me with a temp (pun intended) and it goes crazy and I need to start over again. At this point I don’t care it isn’t Bluetooth (I bought because I just had spine surgery and hope to be able do some smoking towards mid August early September. I was just going to save myself a few step by checking the temp and adjusting my wood. But anyways. It seems to hold good temp and you down load this app (it’s for the whole catalog of GOVEE branded items) and see if ypu care about the BT function. Maybe use it this year and get a name brand on next year.
