Q. What is all the hype about delayed release capsules, acid and bile resistance probiotics bacteria, freeze dried etc? A. Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium strains are currently the most researched probiotics. In order to be able to survive the gastrointestinal transit and colonize in our guts, these bacteria must be able to counteract the deleterious action of bile salts from the liver. Different suppliers make different claims for using their various delivery systems . Whatever delivery system is promoted to deliver your good bacteria, the results should be there. Positive reviewers’ experiences provide evidence of the effectiveness of a delivery system. As the saying goes: ”The proof of the pudding lies in the eating.”
Q. Why does this product not need refrigeration?
A. Our product is manufactured in high quality farms and does NOT need to be refrigerated. 50 Billion CFU count assured till date of expiry.
Q. Why are so many strains needed and such a high CFU count?
A. It is estimated that there are about 400-1000 different good bacteria strains in the human gut. It is currently not possible to grow them all on commercial probiotic farms. That is why the current thinking goes towards faecal transplant. A quality probiotic supplement will give you as many as possible good strains with a high CFU count to help towards a well-oiled microbioma.
Q. Can I expect side effects?
A. Our product is a potent formulation. You might experience mild bloating, cramps and loose stools in the first few days while the good bacteria try to settle in. If necessary, we suggest the ’10 DAY GUT REHAB’ as on our Product or Web images.
Q. How is it possible that this small change has so much impact?
A. An unbalanced gut may result in digestive issues and sub-optimal nutrient absorption. These can snowball into bigger problems. Balancing your gut can help fortify your system for overall energy and well-being.

Not taking antiacids
I have been taking this probiotic every morning for seven days now and the fact that I’ve only taken anticids one time in seven days has me over the moon. Hopefully it keeps doing it’s thing and I don’t have to use pepcid very often.

i will be starting today 1/13/17..
Its now jan 27…& ive been very pleased..i notice a definite difference ..the most of any ive tried so far..and No issues like cramping etc.. in fact ive now added it to subscribe n save..Also id like to point out after watching Dr tom obryan on YouTube and getting his book that we need to feed our good bacteria properly to keep em happy and populating..I used the proB that did not have the pre B as sonetimes that can make people a little gassy or crampy…while its good to have pre B what ive learned is you STILL HAVE TO EAT A LOT OF VEGGIES!.. there are things that get made when the good bacteria eat them that help heal gut as well as reduce systemic inflammation. .while preB supp helps..you cant forgo the veg! Also we are trying a 3 week plan of elimination of sugar wheat rye oat bran and dairy..and adding the supps to help heal gut ( D, tumeric, bone broth etc)..and ive switched to methyl ated B complex because i suspect i may be one of the posdible 40-50% that has the gene mutation for that ……diet wise its about 10 days in and Wow..i feel different..I was told since my biopsy said i was negative for celiac..wheat was totally fine..now ive learned All humans get some damage..and without the antibody tests you wont know…the elimination diets cheaper lol..#################.and i will update but i thought after reading reviews id point out a few things for those bew to this…I have tried about 10 brands over the years and some i noticed major differences and some not as much.Im sure some were better than others but some may have just been better for ME..Everyone is different and lacking different strains in their gut…when you find a probiotic that has what YOU’RE lacking WOW..its pretty noticable… if your severely lacking and get the right combo you’re going to notice it a whole lot more!So each surgery and round of antibiotics i tried a different brand..i didnt deem the ones that i didnt notice a difference with as bad..just not a great fit for me..For people who try one and break out or get headaches etc… thats often part of detoxing..and a good sign..For people eating junk like lots of processed foods and high sugar, gmo’s or have allergies ( that they might not realize like milk, wheat etc..)..yes proBs are good but you still need to address those issues. …For those looking for a flatbelly trendy quick fix..proBs arent that…You really need to remove some of the junk..drink plenty of water increase vegetables and take proBs..GOOD LUCK TO ALL..ILL UPDATE SOON..AND PREVIOUSLY PHILLIPS COLON HEALTH HAS BEEN THE BEST ONE FOR ME OF DRUGSTORE VARIETIES..

More bugs for the buck.
Whenever I talk probiotics with my patients, I tell them to look for the brand with the most kinds of bacteria on the label.Don’t just buy Lactobacillus acidophilus, but L. acidophilus, bulgaricus, thermophilus and the more bugs the better. Our guts are loaded with many varieties of bacteria, microbiota so complex scientists have been studying it for decades. Different in most populations in the world, there are some bugs which are less harmful, more beneficial to good digestion and recovery from gastroenteritis, antibiotic-associated enterocolitis (C. difficile), chemotherapy treatment, giardia, etc.I’ve used this brand for about a year and have compared it to some of the more expensive brands. I’ll stick with DNA Shift’s probiotics for now.01-13-2017 update:As a family practitioner with a strong undergraduate background in physiology/molecular biology/biochemistry I still have a broad interest in many topics; I read several medical journals every month and follow updates from several specialty journals.Antibiotics are a problem. Without going down the rabbit hole of reports in JAMA about over 50% of all prescriptions for them in the US being wrong for the diagnosed condition, or estimates of over a third being flat-out unnecessary (a practice I see daily) or the resistance we’re seeing, my concern is what effect antibiotics are having on humans around the globe. While admittedly many lives are saved with them still, it’s evident and proven that age of first antibiotic usage presages, predicts a need for still more antibiotics.Children given amoxicillin, for example, for the very benign condition “purulent rhinitis” (a diagnosis which doesn’t call for antibiotics), or their very first viral URI (because an ear drum is a little red) wind up requiring far MORE antibiotics in future. Here is a partial list of conditions with strong evidence linking them to antibiotic use (don’t take my word for it, I’ll leave this as an exercise for the student of health and healing):Acne.Asthma.Eczema and other allergic/immune-related conditions,Migraine,Mood disorders (depression-anxiety),Colon cancer,Joint and tendon disorders and more.Much more, researchers are JUST beginning to publish reports with very great backlash from the medical community.C. difficile colitis. While C. diff is a common enough gut organism in roughly 12% of the US population, what used to be referred to as “Antibiotic-Associated Enterocolitis” is now known to simply be a result of ordinary antibiotics killing off competing gut bacteria leaving the nasty anaerobes a rich environment in which to flourish. The strains of C. diff which are showing up are rapidly becoming resistant to the standard treatments leaving “pooh” transplants (swallowing dried encapsulated stool from select donors) as the only available treatment for diarrhea which can’t be treated with anything else.My colleagues are, on the whole, oblivious to this problem. CDC has a goal of reducing US prescriptions of antibiotics by HALF.Good luck with that. So, meanwhile, anyone else remember stories of Dr. Barry Marshall being laughed out of conferences as he was presenting proof of a microorganism “H. pylori” as the cause of peptic ulcers? It’s a lot like that, plus there’s a megabizillion dollar pharmaceutical industry pushing sales of antibiotics, and a political lobbying mechanism like the one that leaned on the FDA for long until quinolone antibiotics were finally given “black box” warnings this past year. Last resort drugs. WHO has been pushing to have them AND Omnicef taken off the market for years now.So what can we do? There’s more than a little evidence coming in about probiotic use in improving – for lack of a better term – gut health. Or gut microbial diversity even.As an undergrad I got interested in the human gut and found out so too was NASA. You see, in space stations and future mars colonies it would be nice to know exactly what kinds/varieties/percentages of microbes you’re introducing. It’s an incredibly complex topic. So to boil it down to an experiment with an “N of one” (like most all “alternative medicine studies”), in other words, my personal experience and feedback I’ve gotten from my patients, probiotic organism dietary supplements are helpful in recovering from many varieties of “tourista” (Tijuana Two-step), “GI runs”, seasonal enterovirus (Viral gastroenteritis, Norvirus/Norwalk agent) and others. People report earlier return to normal bowel function and vague senses of improved “well-being.”Like I said, anecdotal, but the literature’s trending in the direction of probiotics being benificial.Worth looking into. For best mix, best bang for the buck, DNA Shift is my choice.

Very impressed… it actually worked!
I had been experiencing some tummy issues that caused cramping, indigestion, and acid reflux. After lots of Googling, I tried a few things, including a HIGH QUALITY probiotic that also contained prebiotic. This one had very high ratings, so I gave it a try, and the results were almost immediate. Overnight, to be exact! One of the articles I’d read suggested taking it first thing in the morning no an empty stomach with only water, the “let it do it’s thing” for a few minutes. That’s exactly what I did from day one and continue to do. What a difference this has made. The biggest noticeable difference, unfortunately, is when I forget to take it – the symptoms come back right away! Then I take this again and, again, the tummy issues go away. This is a no-brainer. I will be reordering!
