Handy and accurate
I’ve been having quite a few kitchen fails lately and began to suspect the oven was acting up. I figured a thermometer was cheaper than a new oven, so I picked up this oven thermometer. It confirmed my suspicions: the old beast is on it’s last leg, I’m going to need to replace it soon. While I wait for a decent stove to go on sale, this thermometer has helped me bake sourdough and roast chickens to perfection. My only complaint is that the little hook sticks up a bit and won’t let my dutch oven slide off the rack; I need to lift it up and over the hook, which is tough when the dutch oven weighs close to 30lbs when full and I have a bad back.

Super accurate and a MUST HAVE for all Bakers
I suspected that our oven wasn’t reading the correct temperature so went looking for an in-oven hanging thermometer that I could easy read without opening the oven, sure enough this fit the bill. Guess what? Yep the oven was reading the wrong temperature, now I know to set it 25 degrees hotter so I get a true 350! I also found a “hot spot” in the oven so now can take that into account and rotate my cookies.

Most importantly accurate!
I replaced my old thermometer which was 100 degrees-yes 100 degrees off! I placed both in the oven and compared the readings. I finally figured out that it wasnât my ovenâs thermostat but that was incorrect but my old thermometer. Taylor matches my oven thermostat exactly! It has a very large dial for easy reading and two ways to hang it depending on the grate of your oven. You can also stand it up. Itâs easy to use and rises to the temp after the pre warm up. Highly recommended. Finally I can bake accurately!

Accurate oven thermometer
Iâd had trouble with food overcooking in the oven in our new house so got this oven thermometer. It works well! Our oven is about 50 degrees too hot and this seems accurate. I use this thermometer regularly in the oven, pretty much daily, and itâs holding up well. It has gotten some discoloration, probably from smoke where a sugary batter fell to the bottom of the oven and burned. It fits in the oven with a quarter size sheet pan. Easy to just place on the oven rack to the side. Iâve had some issues with knocking it down while adding or removing things from the oven. You could also hang it on the rack from a little hook. I would purchase again.

Works perfectly either hanging or sitting on the oven rack. Helped me adjust my oven temp so that my baked cakes, cookies, casseroles, roasts, etc. come out deliciously perfect! And you can’t beat they price. Will recommend!

A maioria dos fornos e fogões a gás vendidos no Brasil não têm termômetro, deixando a gente para se guiar apenas pelas temperaturas aproximadas indicadas no botão. O problema desse modelo é que as temperaturas no forno dependem de muitos fatores – tipo de gás, se os bicos estão entupindo, e até se é um dia de calor ou frio. Esse tipo de termômetro fica dentro do forno e indica com boa precisão a temperatura em torno do alimento em preparo, permitindo calcular melhor o tempo e evitando desperdÃcios com receitas perdidas por falta da temperatura correta. Recomendo muito.
