Concerned about accuracy of temperature reading
Edited: I received excellent customer service from this seller. After sharing my concerns about the accuracy, they replaced the thermometer and this new one works great. Seems fast and accurate.Original review: My dog is going through cancer treatment, so I need to have a reliable thermometer to monitor that she doesn’t get an infection while her white blood cells are decreased. As soon as this arrived, I read the included instructions and tried testing it in heated water against two other thermometers I had on-hand (one being a kitchen thermometer, and the other being a human thermometer). This pet thermometer was about 2 degrees F less than the other two, making it unreliable for my needs. I repeated the test about 4 times over the course of an hour, and the results were always off.

Quick and Easy
Received quickly with Prime as we had concern that the pup may have been running a fever. Also ordered protective sleeves (I still washed after use). The temp measurement was fast and the pup did not mind; he may have not even noticed what was going on while laying down on his side and receiving pets. Thankfully, his temperature was in healthy range.

I love the color. Yellow means warning to me so hopefully my family will not use this one. I cannot ask them, but they seem to not be bothered by it, although they are cats so you either get âBOTHERED!!!â Or meh⦠so apparently this thermometer is a âmeh.â One cat sniffed it once and the other cat apparently couldnât see it.On the other hand, it works as intended from human standpoint. When I need to take a cat temperature, I turn this on and it does all butt insert it for me. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! â¦and not like in the George W. Bush wayâ¦

Ordered for my poorly cat. Thermometer is pretty straight forward to use, gives a reading quickly and was accurate when later comparing to vets readings… the flexible tip makes the process or insertion easily and the rubber finish makes it easier to clean and sterilise. All materials are hard and wipe clean which is good. Good product for low cost.
