Absolutely love this product and canât say enough good things about it! Iâve tried so many different hair color solutions over the years, and this one truly stands out. Excellent for stubborn grays!
I just love this line for my clients who are wanting to cover up their gray roots! Use with 20 volume developer and let process for about 40 minutes. Color lasts between 6-7 weeks usually, although just keep in mind, everyone’s hair health is different & that may affect your results. I’ve seen so many negative reviews on wella colors and like 98% of them who go into detail are just operator errors. Don’t dye your hair at home if you don’t know what you’re doing, then leave negative reviews on products bc that hurts sellers when their customers are uneducated/inexperienced.Consider porosity when applying color all over. If your hair is super porous on the mids & ends& your regrowth is virgin, you’re going to have that color grab a lot darker on mids and ends compared to your roots.But in my clients case, for full root coverage- with about 80% being gray, on about a 3-4 inch regrowth…this was the perfect solution for my client. A half of a bottle with a 1:2 mixing ratio is all we needed for root coverage, otherwise you’ll have a lot of product leftover. Be sure to use a color sealer and/or a color safe shampoo and conditioner when washing and rinse with cool water always to elongate color life. Hope this helps!

Itâs so easy!
I have not had my hair professionally dyed in years now and saved so much money doing this part at home. I just get a big tub of developer and a little squirt bottle to mix and apply. Coverage is flawless. Itâs the same product they use at the salon, color looks natural.

Wonderful. Not too ashy and not too warm. If ur doing this at home make sure to fill with red like i did or it’ll turn out bad. I used semi permanent adore truly red and 4a.

Bought this toner to cover my whites and darken my roots a little. I loved the final result. In the pictures you can see after and before.I have many whites in the front of my head and white baby hair contouring my face. I used just one box of 4AA medium brown ash and reached the color I was hoping for. During the coloring the ink became blue and I almost panicked thinking my hair would look all black in the end, but thankfully it ended up like I hoped for. Highly recommend

This will be my go to color, I love it so much. If you’re covering greys do a 30 minimum develop time. Get wella 20v developer for best results.

I had level 6/7 red-brown hair and wanted to darken it to neutral dark brown. A lot of people go for 3 or 4 level hair colour and complain that it came out black, but the 4A with 10 vol developer gave me the correct level of dark brown I wanted. It did not completely neutralize the red in my hair – I can still see the warm tones in the light – but that does add some dimension to it. I suspect I’ll need to use a blue shampoo, or go over it with another round of 4A, which I plan to do.IMPORTANT TO NOTE: THIS IS A PROFESSIONAL HAIR COLOUR. This is NOT a box dye. Do not purchase this expecting it to come with supplies and developer like a box dye. You need to purchase a separate developer and use your own tools (mixing bowl or bottle, gloves, etc).

Updated August 2025 â be prepared for a VERY STRONG smell â I highly recommend to you. This is a highly ventilated area. Again had the same issue. I had a couple years ago. Despite following all the instructions and removing the darker hair color⦠I put on medium brown and it came out black.I bought this a few years ago – I had removed the previous dark colour from my hair so had a lighter base (with gray roots), and used the colour Cinnamon with 20 volume developer, expecting a medium-brownish-red. The colour ended up practically the same as before I removed the original (dyed) colour. Iâm sure there is a technical explanation for this, but disappointed that after all the effort, we ended back at square one with hair in better condition, which is something I guess!
