Lovely set, no internal seals
This set includes a number of small, travel-sized products perfect for trying out the Mario Badescu range. It arrived in good condition, but I did have an issue where the collagen mask lid had come loose and a bit of the product had spilled because these products do not have an internal seal. That’s not ideal for a travel set, in my opinion, but at least I was fortunate enough that it was the collagen mask this happened to because that product is very stiff! It would have been messier if, say, the cleanser had spilled. For that reason, I docked a star: the whole point of a travel set is that you can travel with it without worrying about products getting everywhere!Despite the small product sizes (which, of course they are, it’s a travel set) I found this a nice way to try out the range since I have been wanting to do so. It gave me good insight into which products I really liked (the seaweed cream, toner and hypochlorous spray were my favorites), which I wasn’t a fan of (I’ve been much more impressed by other hydrocolloid dots and neither of the cleansers was my favorite) and the amount of product was totally sufficient for me to try out the products for a long enough duration to have confidence I’ll continue to enjoy any I decide to purchase full-size.

Great kit for travel!
I used these products on a trip and enjoyed sampling my way through them. I particularly liked the refreshing facial spray and the dew cream — both very hydrating and refreshing. This is a great introduction to this line of facial products and works well for on the go.

Some of the products are very nice and others are flops
This is a great sampler kit – there is enough of each product for about 5-7 days (more than it initially looks like). However, I have mixed feelings about the products. All products have a relatively strong fragrance, which I try to avoid in skin care because my skin and eyes can be very sensitive to it. The text on the containers is teeny-tiny and extremely difficult to read, even with a magnifying glass. There’s not enough product to really get the test of time needed for skin care, but here are my initial thoughts for each product:Enzyme cleanser – I love a good enzyme cleanser and how the little bubbles popping on my face feel. Like its “eating” all the oil and grime. I’ve been using this cleanser in the mornings – the popping sensation isn’t as pronounced as other brands I’ve tried but it does clean well and feel good. I’d give this particular product 4/5 stars.Glycolic foaming cleanser – I’ve been using this cleanser at night, as my second wash after my makeup and the first layer of city grime has been removed. At first it’s a little difficult to get to foam up, and kind of just skates around my skin. But once it starts breaking up I really do like how it feels. It doesn’t dry out my skin, but I do feel it is effective. I’d give it 4/5 stars.Glycolic toner – love a good glycolic acid toner and this one has been great. I’ve been using it at night after cleansing. It has not dried my skin out, and my sensitive skin has had not adverse reactions. Would give it a 4/5.Vitamin C serum – recommended to be used every other night, which is what I’ve been doing for a week so have only used it 3 nights. It feels good going on, does not burn (which is often the case with vitamin C in my experience) but it hasn’t been long enough to see any long term benefits you would expect from a serum.Super Collagen mask – Love a good mask. Hated this one. It feels like a clay mask upon application, but dries very quickly (much quicker than the recommended wear time of 15-20 minutes). Would rate it 2/5.Hyaluronic dew cream – light weight, almost gel like (but not quite), feels great going on and absorbs quickly. I’ve been using this every morning – it doesn’t react with my make up or make my skin look greasy. Would rate it 4/5Vitamin C cream – have been hesitant to use this with the vitamin C serum, but also didn’t know it was a day cream because of the tiny writing.Seaweed night cream – This is a very heavy cream that is very difficult to rub in. It sits on top of the skin and doesn’t appear to absorb well. I’d rate it 2/5I didn’t have an opportunity to try the blemish patches (thank goodness!) but my teen son did and they did help his blemish a slight bit by the next day. Similar to other patches we’ve tried, so I’d rate it 4/5.

Sample size selection of skin care lotions and potions
Great sample selection of product for the brand. They are sample size for all different skin types and issues. Products come in a zippered mesh carrying bag – easy for travel or giving as a gift.My skin issues are with dry skin and wrinkles so a few of the products I will not use (anything intended for acne or oily skin). The Vitamin C serum and vitamin c cream seem to help with age spots. The seaweed night cream smells wonderful and moisturizes without being too thick and greasy. My skin is very sensitive and so far, knock on wood, no issues with any reaction. The Miracle Spray is something that I did not know I needed. I popped it in my purse and it works wonders on a 100-degree day in Texas.I recommend this set. This is an easy way to sample this well-known brand.
