It works consistently
I bought three thermometers at the same time because I was losing my mind from the Braun ear thermometers constantly breaking- either not working or more often an infuriating error message that it can’t read the cap. I bought this one along with a forehead swipe one (and AGAIN a Braun ear thermometer that has since broken). This was by far the most accurate, and I know that because I was using all three at the same time. It is easy to use, it is easy for my kids to use by themselves. My son is going to college and I came back to order this one to send him away with, its the only one I trust.

It actually works!
Tldr buy this.Weâve learned the hard way that a lot of the forehead thermometers donât read accurately, especially at a reasonable price point. So relieved to find one that actually works! Now I know whether or not my daughter has a fever.

Feels a little cheap, but better than an oral thermometer
I grew up having to hold an uncomfortably sharp metal probe under my tongue for 30 seconds to check whether I had a fever. By comparison this is revolutionary. It reads immediately, and removes comfort and sanitation issues by being contactless. My only gripe is that the construction feels pretty cheap, more like a toy than a proper piece of equipment. That said, its performance has seemed pretty accurate thus far.

Very accurate read
This is one of the most accurate thermometers weâve owned. Easy to use and no fuss for small kids. Just a quick second to the forehead or behind the ear and it gives the reading. It will start beeping and screen will turn red for fever, otherwise the screen just lights up normally for regular temperature.

Temperature always reads low, and is inaccurate!
It seems to be well set up, and is sold by a well known brand. The problem is the temperature readings are always low.I’m literally checking it with a Vicks thermometer, oral one, and every time it’s about a half to one degree low. There should be a way to calibrate this, or reset the thermometer to make it plus or minus .5°, so it matches up with realityThere’s no point on spending this much on a thermometer that always reads low, and is inaccurate.

I took it to my doctors and had it calibrated . it was .2 off. way better than the last one I bought .

1. It doesn’t work when the environment is too cold, like less than 18.2. You cannot change the unit of measurement and for it to remember the change, ie, you have to change it each time you use it.
