Remarkable illusion of having hair, even when your hair is pretty long
It almost confounds my mind that this works. I took pictures (see images) and I clearly don’t have very much hair, but after using this product, you really can’t tell. I tried it the first time without telling my wife and asked her if my bald spot on the back of my head looked funny. She was like “you don’t seem to have a bald spot anymore – what is going on?” I told her to examine it closely and see if anything looked weird to her and she was just stumped. She couldn’t figure out what I’d done. It really works that well.I watched many online videos on how to correctly apply this product before using it. That is VERY important. I’ll detail some major points I learned:1. Always shake the bottle perpendicularly to gravity and shake on like a salt shaker – ie, don’t tip it side ways at an angle, only straight up and down. This allows the fibers to evenly distribute. If you shake it at an angle, you’ll get dark spots.2. When applying, hold it VERY close to your head so it mostly only goes on your head. That way you don’t make a mess. Then lightly pat your hair when everything looks good to get the fibers to settle down past the top surface.3. Use a big mirror + a handheld mirror and good lighting while applying. You need to see every angle to make sure it is evenly applied.4. Only use the little sprayer attachment (sold separately) to clean up spots where it didn’t get applied thick enough. Don’t try to use that to apply to your entire head. You can use that on your beard. I don’t actually like the way it looks on my beard, though.5. Don’t apply while hair is wet. Get hair and scalp completely dry after washing it, style it as well as you can (but no product yet), apply fibers until everything looks good, then spray either their spray or just strong holding hairspray and kind of push your hair then into the style you want. The hairspray holds the fibers in place.6. Just my personal experience, but don’t go too close to the hairline in front if you have longer bangs like I do. It is too hard to get hairspray in there and some will fall off and stick to your face and make it look like you have dirty spots on your face. If you have shorter hair and can get hairspray to penetrate to the scalp, then you can get away with it I think.7. I’ve found using a night cap at night keeps my pillow from getting discolored from the fibers. Otherwise, I have to wash my hair twice a day, in the morning and before bed. Part of this is because I apply minoxidil at night and that loosens a lot of the fibers. I think if you never use anything like that at night, then it might not be a problem.

Worth the Price
I have been using this product for several years. It absolutely does the job. Be sure after sprinkling the product on the thin spots to pat it down. It’s great. It does wash out, and if you go swimming it will need to be reapplied. It sure increases you confidence.

Erased my insecurity about thinning hair!
You should know that this products made my thinning hair look more full with just a few shakes of the canister. Due to genetics, chronic illness and chemotherapy, my hair grew back much thinner than before. I wasn’t super bothered until I saw a photo of myself where my scalp was really apparent. I know it’s a trivial insecurity, but with just a few shakes of the canister, my hair looks full, my scalp isn’t so prominent and the fibers of the Toppik aren’t visible. The color match is also flexible. I have dark brown curly hair with some gray hairs coming in. I could see this working for shades lighter and darker, too, without having to get a different color. After a few trial runs, I got the hang of it, knowing how much to shake onto my dry hair and scalp. DON’T use this when your hair and scalp are wet and damp. That will ruin the appearance! Even my husband complimented me on how good my hair was looking once I started to use this product (and I didn’t tell him that I started to use this). I now keep one canister to Toppik in my bathroom cabinet, one in my purse and one on standby. I only have to apply it to my hair on wash day after my hair is fully dry. Then it stays put for at least 2-3 days. I don’t see fall out on my white or light clothing. I don’t see any fallout on my pillow or sheets. I’m so glad I found this product.

Not happy with it
The only time I use this is when I go to church because that’s the only time I don’t wear my hat. It looks decent before I get there, but by the time I walk out of church, my daughter says my bald spot is already visible again. Will never buy again

For those of you with thinning hair or visible scalp, this hair powder truly works. I have always had thin hair, but I now have areas of visible scalp after having babies and with natural aging. It makes me self-conscious. This product has been a game-changer for me. It is easy to apply. The applicator makes it easier to apply and control yet you can sprinkle it in your hair directly from the container. It stays in your hair without worrying it will run or fade. It blends naturally. I have light brown hair but the light brown colour looks too orange; the medium brown is a closer match. If you aren’t sure, buy the smallest travel size to try. I can’t say enough good things about it. It’s pricey but it lasts a long time. So grateful for this product!
