NEVER SHAVING AGAIN! Holy cow…how did I go years and years of my life without this thing?? I’ve been telling all of my girlfriends about this and recommending that they all get it.The FIRST time you use it, THERE WILL BE PAIN. The initial hair removal is difficult since it’s basically just like tweezing. Tweezing hurts. So this is tweezing on speed. I’ve heard that if you get a waxing before using this, you can cut way down on the pain…so I’d advise doing that! For me, I started with my legs. The first time I used it, I only got about 1/8th of my leg done and then needed a break. Took me about 3 sessions to get all the way through. But now? Now it’s enjoyable. The maintenance is SOO easy. The hairs come back in at all different times, unlike shaving where they all come in evenly at once. I almost enjoy maintenance now because it’s totally painfree and so easy to do.Bikini. Took me about 20 sessions. The edges were pretty easy. I’d been waxed before so I was prepared for the pain. But down the center? Unbearable. I could only do a few seconds at a time in some areas so it took me a LONG time to get all the hair off initially and my bikini area looked weird with patches of hair for a long time. But now? Still some pain but when only a few hairs come in at a time…VERY easy to maintain. So the initial removal was way worse than waxing because it takes so much longer. But the upkeep is WAY easier.Underarms took me about 4 sessions. I’d never plucked or waxed this area before so I experienced a lot of pain here. But now I have such smooth underarms that look way better than they ever have.THE INITIAL PAIN IS WORTH IT!!!! I use this device maybe once a week for ~15 minutes for maintenance. I have pale skin and medium brown hair…but you can never see any of it as it comes back in! It’s amazing to have mostly smooth legs all the time and never have to worry about hair growth. The charge lasts a long time.This is a HUGE money and time saver folks. Stick it out…after a few weeks you’ll NEVER have to buy razors or shaving cream again.

I think it’s ok, but not perfect.
I am not very hairy to begin with, so that has been a big help :). I purchase this about 4 months ago and had let my hair grow out for 3 weeks before using this. That worked great for my legs. But when the Epilady misses hairs, it takes quite a few passes to grab the stragglers. That’s sort of annoying and adds to the time it takes to remove the hair. Also, my legs never feel completely smooth…always a little stubble the thing can’t grab. That makes sense since it can’t reach into my follicle, but I’m just saying there’s an advantage to using a razor.As for armpits, Guantanamo should invest in a couple of these. If you plan to rip out your armpit hairs, do not let them all grow out initially…take it in strides. It’s really just torture that first time with the armpits; subsequently it’s been fine. So if you can handle the initial pain, just know it’ll be much less agonizing in the future. The hairs grow back softer and finer, so you’ll not even notice you need armpit touch-ups…so look every now and again because you do!I am glad to have finally tried an Epilady. I had wanted one for 20 yrs. If there’s a better unit out there that gets more hairs with each pass I would like to know. I don’t want to wax as that’s messy and I don’t have time with little kids running around. But I do have time to quickly whip out my Epilady for a few minutes before bed some nights.And I did try the bikini line (just what would show if wearing one) and it worked great…not even painful to my surprise. Now, I would be too afraid to do the whole bikini area, so I’ll leave that up to you brave souls who care to do that sort of thing.So…I like this because:- removes enough hairs- not messy…just hairs to clean up…no water even- hairs growing back softerI don’t like:- misses some hairs- takes a long time to complete mission- initial armpit hair extraction is excruciating (and I’m not a wimp)

I had my old Epilady for about 20 years and it finally died. The decision to replace it was a no brainer. My previous Epilady had 3 speeds and got the job done, so I was skeptical when I received my new Epilady with only 2 speeds and it felt a little wimpy. I don’t know how, but it removed my hair even better than before and more gently. Previously, I would always feel a tiny bit of leg hair stubble after I was don….I guess it was those TINY new growth hairs. This new version left my legs perfectly smooth. I was even able to do my bikini line with this gentler model. My old one would have MANGLED my private parts! Another bonus is the cordless option….I was able to go outside in the sun so that I could see every little hair. I hope this one lasts 20 years too!

Works great! Pinches a little, not much though. It did a great job on the first use, and kept the hair off for weeks. Kept more off on the second use. I read up on several of these products before finally buying this one, and I am not disappointed. A bit hard to maneuver over my shin bone, otherwise, easy to use.
