Really well acted with a great script
Oh my…this is my first-ever viewing of an Alison Brie movie. And when paired with Jason Sudeikis, it could only be great. I really like Jason’s movies. Anyway…Alison Brie…”wow.” There is something about her that will get any man’s motor running. Her eyes, her shoulders, her mannerisms and body language wreak best-girlfriend simmering-sensuality. She plays her overly-compulsive, love-addicted role to perfection. Her anxiety and angst is acted with world class accuracy. You find yourself laughing at her and her circumstance while simultaneously pitying her and her addiction. It is yet another movie that examines the age old “can a man and a woman really just be friends?” Answer as usual: “no.” While they struggle through their separate relationships and issues, they remain committed friends and confidants who console each other when their latest relationships sour, until Alison Brie’s character finally asks “do we have something here…something more that just friendship? (sic)” It is a modern, urban, moderately- to fast-paced script that has you rooting for them and asking yourself who will “crack” first and admit their love for the other. If you’re a romantic or “want” to be in love, this movie is a winner to offer or reinforce your hope that it may be closer than you think.

one question
like why do the same actors play their college-aged versions in the beginning?am I supposed to buy that Jason Sudeikis is in his early 20s there?the movie is memorable overall, but that part threw me off and is hilarious to watch

I don’t think I’ve seen a lot of advertisements with this film
At least not for theaters. I remember noticing it only to watch it through certain streaming services. Then I took the time out and watched it and remember really liking it. I have now watched the film multiple times and thanks to the casting and chemistry I still can’t help but find myself genuinely liking this film too I feel as if I need to own it and have it in my collection. It’s on DVD but it’s one of those films in which I don’t feel as if a Blu-ray release was ever really necessary. Regardless of cool and I’m happy to have it

Story of 2 people who meet at sex addict meeting…that had lost their virginity to each other 12 years before in university. They become good friends, and people think they are a couple. Hmm.. a relationship without sex….Mouse trap!

I’m in love with this movie! I wanted to watch this movie because I became a big fan of Alison Brie who was on the TV show “Community” for 6 seasons which I loved! There is not a bad scene in this whole movie! Jason Sudeikis and Alison Brie had some amazing chemistry in this movie! Really funny movie and the dialog was really well written! Totally recommend this movie for anyone who loves romantic comedies!10/10
